MASTERING

Most artists today send off their audio tracks to have them mastered.  Then they wait…

(When a band sends their music to SoundOps, they have access to their entire mastering process online.  The Studio Gateway allows each member to be involved and download the finished masters immediately after post production is complete.)

But, if you’ve just put your unfinished CD in the mail destined for another mastering house, you can always pass the time here.   Check out the History of The MASTERING Blog.

If you haven’t ever had songs professionally mastered, you should look around too, because there’s a bunch here about what to expect and what to watch out for when you are ready to finish that first recording.
