MASTERING

Even when artists record in a studio, it’s more and more common for them to do their own mixing.  With programs out there like Garage Band and Adobe Audition, sometimes the money seems better spent on software than a few hours with an engineer.  Whether you do your own production or hire it out, it’s still a good idea to understand the goal of a pre-master mix.
